In Cub Scouting, boys and their families have fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. These values come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program all while they're having a great time with their friends and families.
Cub Scout Pack 108 meets weekly at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night from September through May at St. Joan of Arc School in Hershey. Additional summer programs are also planned after the school year ends. For more information or to join, visit a pack meeting or e-mail us! Our last meeting for the spring will be Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Join us in the St. Joan cafetorium. Registration forms will be available on site.
Our program is divided into five levels based on age:
Tiger Cubs. A school-year program for first-grade (or 7-year-old) boys and their adult partners that stresses simplicity, shared leadership, learning about the community, and family understanding. Each boy/adult team meets for family activities, then once or twice a month all the teams meet for Tiger Cub group activities.
KINDERGARDENER'S CAN JOIN TIGER CUBS NOW AND ENJOY THE SUMMER, 2008 ACTIVITIES.
Wolf and Bear Cubs. A family- and home-centered program for boys in the second through fifth grade (or 8, 9, and 10 years old). Cub Scouting's emphasis is on quality program at the local level, where the most boys and families are involved.
Fourth- and fifth-grade (or 10-year-old) boys are called Webelos Scouts (WE'll BE LOyal Scouts) and participate in more advanced activities that begin to prepare them to become Boy Scouts. This is a two-year fun-filled program where the boys begin to participate in Boy Scout Troop activities.
